According to history, there were two men crucified next to Jesus, Dismas and Gestas. This epic eight-part, limited series is the fictional back-story about Dismas, The Good Thief, who is living under Roman oppression and training to be a Rabbi. After being rejected by the Rabbinical, and the death of his father, Dismas takes up with Gestas, the leader of a gang who robs from the rich and gives to the poor. After their arrest, they are sentenced to death by crucifixion, winding up on both sides of Jesus.
